I know very little about the Arnolds (what a surprise, eh?). Our particular people are: Martha, who married Charles Pattee (their daughter Lulu was Dad's grandmother), her father Daniel J. AND her mother Margaret A. According to the census, Daniel was born in Virginia, Margaret was born in Maryland. I believe I have found Margaret's family, but Daniel's is still elusive.
There were a lot of German Baptist Arnolds in the area, so I spent a long time looking at them - they have a lot of Daniels in the family - but so far I have not found a connection.
