1760? - before 1832
Ireland (Wexford/Wicklow)
Almost nothing is known about him.
He lived and died in Ireland, possibly Wexford County, possibly the Inch/Gorey area. However, his son Benjamin said (on his enlistment papers) that he (Benjamin) had been born in Arklow, County Wicklow.
He may have been born in the 1760s - his wife supposedly was born 1769 and his children in the early 1800s. He died before 1832.
It is said that his mother was a Mary Whitmore.
He married Sarah Needham.
Their children were:
William ~1799 - aft 1870 (identification and therefore dates are provisional)
Benjamin ~1807 - aft 1846
Thomas ~1807 - 1840
Ann 1800-10 - 1848
George ~1810 - 1883
Sarah ~1818 - 1888
Benjamin enlisted in the English army and was sent to India; the rest of them emigrated to America.
