      p. 10 - The Grand Jury returned into Court and made the following presentments:
         - against Joseph Carnes, who on August 2, 1803, with force and arms, towit, with stocks, staves, hand and feet, did assault on John Conner and “there did beat, wound and ill treat and other wrongs.” Information given by John Conner, stone mason, living on the waters of Sinking Creek . . . . .
               1803 Nov 21 (p. 45) - Defendant asks prosecution to show security; John Connor, prosecutor, ordered to appear tomorrow and enter security. Ordered same dismissed with costs.
               1803 Nov 22 (p. 51) - John Connor the prosecutor failed to appear and give security, and case was dismissed.
                          Defendant to recover costs.

       - against John Smith, labourer, Ansel Hyde, farmer, Joseph Carnes, yeoman, and Abraham Hiley, miller, as being “riotous, rioters and disturbers of the peace” who on August 2, 1803, with force and arms, to-wit, sticks, staves, clubs, guns, pistols, knives and clubs and other offensive weapons, at Hardinsburg, unlawfully did assemble and gather together to disturb the peace of the Commonwealth . . . did make a great noise, riot and disturbance . . .for one hour or more . . .did thrust and draw knives into the windows of the mansion house of William Hardin, Jr. And family, and being withing the house, to their great disturbance and terror . . . and “to all other good citizens of the Commonwealth passing and repassing in and through the streets, allies and other public places . . . in contempt of the authority of the said Commonwealth. Information from William Hardin, Jr., tavernkeeper.

                 1803 Nov 25 (p. 75-6)- Clerks office judgement set aside. Case was for slander. Defendant said words spoken were true and he could “so speak well and lawfully.” Jury trial set for next court.
                1804 Apr 17 (p 93) - Jo Allen who was special bail for Daniel Ferry at the suit of John Connor is released from his recognizance at the request of the plaintiff’s attorney.

           1803 Nov 24 (p. 64) - Judgement was set aside, defendants pleaded not guilty, saying that first assault was on them. Jury selected . . . Jury found defendants guilty, assessed damages of $20.00

           1803 Nov 23 (p. 57) - on motion of plaintiff’s attorney, the clerk’s office dismission ordered to be set aside and new trial ordered.

           -against Samuel Connor, late of said County, for “making a fence in and across the road leading from the mouth of Sinking (Creek) in said County to Elizabeth(town) in the County of Hardin, on the 13th day of October in the year 1804 . . . and obstructed road for a good 8 and 40 hours . . .to the great nuisance of the good citizens of this Commonwealth.” Information furnished by Daniel Hardin & Abraham Hiley.

      (p. 200) - Thomas Brown, Jr., Thomas Brown, Sr. and Torrance Connor came into Court to acknowledge bond of $600.00 on charge that Thomas Brown, Jr. was indicted for perjury, and that he appear “at the Courthouse in Hardinsburgh on the 3rd day of the next October term to answer the grand jury indictment.”

                1808 July 18 (p. 516-7) Commonwealth v Dade Connor, on indictment for felony. Said Dade Connor, being bound to appear here in this Court this day, appeared and was set to the bar by the jailor. Pleaded not guilty, asked for jury trial. Jury was called to include Ralph Crume, Sr., Thomas Polk, James Lanman, Ephraim Cummings, William Beard, James Moredock, Micajah Dowel, Leonard Wheatley, Benjamin Pate, Joseph Stith, Robert Owens and Isaac Thomas. Found not guilty and acquitted.
