Neither Cornelius nor Garrett is found elsewhere in the 1840 census, but they married in 1834 and 1836, so the spare children seem too old. All the
girls of the proper age are accounted for, except for Sally who should be about 16. The unknown male could be her husband - but the extra children
again seem too old.
