North Carolina Deweeses

Henry Deweese and his wife Elizabeth Hughes moved from Pennsylvania to Virginia to North Carolina, and then on to Kentucky..
They were in North Carolina from a little before 1790.
While in North Carolina, John Deweese married Elizabeth Sams, so I have included some information about the Hughes and Sams families.
Later on, in Kentucky, Henry Deweese (grandson of the 1st here mentioned) would marry Amelia Hudson, so I have included some information about the Hudsons
(although many of them seem to have been centered in Rowan County.)
In the late 1790s most of them moved on to Kentucky.
Some of them apparently moved back.
