From the census listings, it would appear that Jabes and Mary were the parents of 15 children, 10 girls and 5 boys.
Since the early censuses only list head of household by name, it is possible that some of these young people are not their own children.
The only names I have are for two of the girls, Margaret and Susan - and I have no proof that they actually belong to Jabes and Mary. Margaret is a good bet, because she named a son "Job Harkless Brown," but unfortunately Susan did not.

I don't know if Catherine age 48 is supposed to be the same as Margaret, who should be ~57 for this census OR if Margaret died and Thomas remarried???

The oldest male in the 1830 census is in the 20-30 age group, too young to be father Jabes - some sort of mistake? If the mark was meant to be father Jabes, and was put in the wrong column, then Male X appears in the 1820 census only.

Male a b 1820-25
