Harrison Lusk
18 Feb 1813 - 15 Feb 1897
His children: Marcus | Sarah Elizabeth | John | James | Samuel David | Marion Whitt | Harrison | Senia Ann | Charles | Andrew Jackson
He is presumably on the 1820 and 1830 censuses with Samuel. He is possibly not with Samuel in 1840, and I have not found him in the 1850 census. (He is possibly the Henry Lusk listed in the 1839 Carter County tax lists.)
He married Nancy Matilda Hall on 19 March 1858, although they had already had 7 children by then - no-one is sure of the reason for the delay. She was the daughter of John Hall and Senia Watson; her sister Elizabeth married James Lusk and her brother Andrew married Emily Lusk, her probable brother James married Susan Lusk. Nancy had been married before, to Henry Dawson, and had at least two children by him (Mary Rose and William C, who appear in the 1860 census as Lusks, but what of that.)

(1) Fayette County courthouse death records, page 154 line 4, Received gun shot wound and lived 8 days before he died. Lived in Sewell, Fayette County. He was 37 years, 6 months, 29 days, at his death.,
(2) Ashland Republican newspaper, Feb. 23, 1882, On last Saturday at Geigerville, fifteen miles from Ashland, some lively shooting was done, in which John C. Eastham, Jr. and John Gullet were shot. The fuss was started at Rush Store, by John Gullet, who had been drinking, and had an old grudge against Whitten Lusk. Gullet went into the store and inquired of [for] Lusk; the clerk, not thinking what he wanted, pointed to Lusk, who was standing in the back of the store, saying,"there he is." Gilbert [I think this should be Gullett?] then started toward him, saying he was going to shoot him. He was then caught by Carr Mullins and prevented from going to him. Lusk slipped out the back door, and was gone ten or fifteen minutes, when he returned with his brother, Harrison Lusk. They asked how big the pistol was, that Gullet had, and were informed it was a large one. Harrison Lusk, then pulled out a bottle of whiskey, and asked if it was as large as that. They then went on down the road, the Gullet had gone,..........The rest of the story, tells how Gullet met John Eastham, and they got into a fight, and shot each other, while the Lusk Boys and several others were watching the fight.), b. 1863, Carter County, Kentucky; d.
