Presumably in Missouri sometime between 1850-60. (Land owned by him - in what appears to be Dade County - was left to brother and sister.)
Mary Matthews found a possible child of William's: James Arthur Ong, born 1 June 1851, son of Lucretia Croft and (supposedly) William L Roberts.  The child was adopted by Lucretia's (second?) husband.  He may have been illegitimate, and may have been the reason William left the county???  Croft/Ong researchers claim that young James Arthur was the son of William, grandson of Livingston - but Livingston's son William was not born until 1848, so if William Roberts was the father, it must have been our William. And you would think that William would have left his property to his son, not his siblings, if he knew he had a son???  Oddly enough, young William Roberts (son of Livingston) lived next door to Lucretia's father James Croft in 1870.
Died before Nov. 1860.

2. Unknown male b. 1820-25
Nothing known about him. He is on the 1830 census and then silence.

3. Unknown female b. 1830-35
Nothing known about her. She is on the 1840 census and then silence. She could be the unknown male - since they almost certainly made a mistake on the date, they may have made a mistake on the sex as well.

Her children:
Louiza died about 1879 and her children were with Caroline in 1880.

From Mary Matthews (Wellman Family Site - 16 Oct 2004):
I unearthed my earliest research on Wellmans and found a note from my father about Louisa Agnes Wellman Hamlin: He wrote: "Her husband deserted her early in their marriage and they said she died of a broken heart. Hamlin remarried after her death and lived in Nebraska for a while and then moved to Astoria, Oregon. Their son Willie was killed in a railroad accident when still fairly young and is buried at Crawford, Nebraska." Looks as if the word "after" was added above "their son Willie...", so it might be that Hamlin and his second wife lived in that part of Nebraska before moving to Oregon
