Delia turns up in the California Death Index with a birth date of Aug. 12, 1897, in Missouri and a death date of Oct. 7, 1978 in Fresno County. Fred E. Scott also shows up in the index with dates of Aug. 3, 1916 and Aug. 17, 1981 in Fresno County. According to the index, his mother's maiden name was Kane so that's what I'm plugging into the database for Delia. Nothing in the death index for Fred's three sisters.
I have looked at the California Death Index available at Ancestry, and have not found those entries! I did find a Fred Elmer Scott (very suggestive name, no?) born 13 May 1916 - but in Kentucky! died 24 June 1956 in Los Angeles - mother’s name Miller.

I knew both Marian and Elmer. Marian was a very nice person, I never could understand why she stayed with Elmer. . . .
Marian was blinded in one eye and had a glass eye. She had gotten hit in the eye when they were taking the screens down to wash and then got cancer in the eye and had to have it removed. That happened before I met her in the late 50's. She died in 1968 and Elmer in 1972. Their daughters are now both living in Nevada.
