After the death of the paterfamilias, the Warrick Stantons fell upon hard times. The family was scattered, with most of them staying with the now-married Mary Ann or her Baker in-laws. My great great grandfather was the exception: he was with the Benjamin McCools in 1860.
I wondered if the Stantons and McCools had a shared history, so I did a little looking. I didn't find a connection, but here is some info about them I did find.

This bit comes from Bob Davidson
Adam McCool (B: 1724 Ireland D: 1752)
his son Joseph McCool (1750 - 1825 Shawnee Town, IL )
married Mary Thomas (B: Abt. 1754 PA).
Mary Thomas was dau of Col. John Thomas (1720 Cardiff Wales - 1811) and Mary
Jane Black (1723 - 1811).
his son Benjamin McCool (B. Abt. 1809) m Miranda Davies - this is the one my gggrand
was living with.

This is the census information I have:
Warrick County 1820, 1830 and 1840 comes from a transcription.
(1820, 1830, 1840 Spencer, Warrick, Perry counties, Indiana census returns / Sharon Patmore, Kristine Manley. Chrisney, IN : Newspaper Abstracts, 1995)
Warrick County 1850 comes partly from the microfilm, partly from a transcription.
(Smith, Barbara. Warrick County, Indiana 1850 census. Jonesboro, IN : Smith, 1980.) This is a nice transcription - she includes the marriage information when she knows it.
Warrick County 1860 comes from the microfilm, but I didn't do a good job recording the place. Also, I did not copy all the McCools in the county, just ones that happened to be on pages I was looking at.
Warrick County 1870 comes from the microfilm. It was not indexed at the time I looked at it, so mostly I just recorded where to find the info, so I could go back to it later if I wanted.

McCool, Albert ...
Transcribed from the book "History of Warrick County " by Goodspeed, Chicago:
Goodspeed Bros., 1885, p. 169, submitted by Judy.
"Albert McCool, born in Warrick County, IN, August 12, 1842, is the fifth and only living
of six children born to Joseph and Malinda (Amer) McCool. He is a grandson of William
and Margaret (Baker) McCool, who were natives of South Carolina and the parents of
eight children, the sixth born of whom was Joseph McCool, whose birth occurred March 5,
1811, in Davis County, KY. July 25, 1934, the marriage of our subject's parents was
solemnized, and in 1835 Mr. McCool entered a tract of land from the Government in
Warrick County, Ind., two miles south of Boonville, and has since resided on this place
where he owns a good farm. His wife dying in January 1855, he was married the year
following to Elizabeth Jane Masters, and three daughters of their nine children are yet living.
Albert McCool, the immediate subject of this sketch was reared and educated in his native
county, which as always been his home. At twenty-two years of age he married, and
purchasing a farm in Anderson Township resided there two years. He then came back to
Boon Township, but after a short stay returned to Anderson, where he remained until 1872,
when he came to his present place, where he as since resided. He is a Democrat, as is also
his father, and like his parents he and his wife belong to the Methodist Episcopal Church.
He is also a member of the F. & A. M. His wife was formerly Mary J. Pyeatt, the daughter
of Nathan Pyeatt, deceased, one of Warrick County's early and prominent citizens."
