You can find ship lists at: http://www.immigrantships.net/ This is a volunteer project - God
bless the volunteers! - and more lists are added from time to time. This is all the Stantons I
found there as of 3 March 2000.
I have added Stantons I found in The Famine Immigrants - Lists of Irish Immigrants
arriving at the port of New York 1846-51 [Baltimore; Genealogical Publishing Co,1983 -
assoc. ed Michael Tepper].
The number in parentheses indicates the page the list was found
on.
There are 7 volumes & I have done only 6.
Many of the early ones come from Passengers Arriving at the Port of New York
1820-1829 [Baltimore;Genealogical Pub. Co, 1999 - transcribed by Elizabeth Bently],
and from Passengers Arriving at the Port of New York 1830-1832 [Baltimore;
Genealogical Pub. Co, 2000 - also transcribed by Elizabeth Bently].
A similar volume, of passengers arriving at Charleston 1820-29, contains no Stantons.
Other fairly early ones come from microfilms at the Wisconsin State Historical Society
Library.
Passenger Lists - New York 1820-1846 (P83-5985 and P83-6069)
Passenger Lists - Baltimore 1820 - 97 (P83-5628)
These will have (M) after the ship name.

a note from a transcriber who found her ancestors - Ellen McNamara & her siblings were brought to the US by Uncle Pat McEnerin after being orphaned by the famine (this was a different boat, but the idea...)
If you are certain you have found your ancestor on this page, and would like the complete list for the ship s/he was on, I will make a photocopy for you (as time allows) if you send me an SASE. (e-mail me to find where to send the SASE) I will NOT photocopy "all the Michaels on the list" - make your request as specific as possible, please.
