Andrew first shows up in Chalkley in 1748, mentioned in his grandfather (Andrew Baxter)’s will. - His last appearance is in 1766.
His wife appears to be Sarah.
He is mentioned in connection with John and George Stevenson, and with Hugh and William Lusk.
His land appears to be in the Borden Grant - and I would guess in the Timber Ridge area.
After 1766, when he sells the 200 acres he inherited from his grandfather (it is claimed in the document that he was NOT the proper heir), he is no longer found in Chalkley.
There is another Andrew much later, the son of one of the Jameses.
One James Stevenson (Rev. James S, sr?) had heirs Sarah and John Woodville, Andrew, Robert, Carter L, Lewis, Nancy, Edmund and James Stevenson. (Court Case 1819).
(A Robert and a James are in Tazewell Co 1815)
However this Rev. James was, according to a Genforum message, born 1756 so he could not be the father of this (early) Andrew.
Andrew could possibly be father of Susanna, but there is no positive link. He is a witness to a transaction in 1752 along with Hugh Lusk, and Hugh is our best guess as father of Samuel, Susanna's future husband.
